Commodore Gaming and Digitale Kultur invite you to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Commodore C64 (and the 30th Anniversary of the PET!) at the Commodore Gaming booth at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. The event is held from the 22nd to the 26th of August 2007, during which Digitale Kultur, together with Commodore Gaming will present the very best of 25 years of the demoscene on the Commodore C64.
Aside from that, both parties will be celebrating the life and times of the legendary machine through exhibiting its many incarnations and modifications and delivering the ultimate old school gaming experience.
On the evening of the 23rd of August, Commodore Gaming and Digitale Kultur will take the occasion to host the Commodore Scene Lifetime Achievement Awards, in which the best modders, demo groups, SID composers and other sceners in the universe, as determined by the scene itself, will be spotlighted There will be special guests, food, drinks, Commodore themed music and you are all invited to be part of this special event! To vote for your all time favourite C64 demo's, mods and community sites, please visit https://www.dkev.org/csa/ and follow instructions. Voting is open till the 17th of August, on which the final nominees will be made public - a jury of sceners will then pick the final winner from this list.
