War Diary: Burma is an exciting mobile action-strategy game of daring commando raids deep into the steaming jungles of Burma. As a young lieutenant you must handpick your squad for dangerous missions behind enemy lines. Artillery and air strikes leave the ground cratered. Review War Diary Burma

War Diary Burma is a very accessible strategy game, much in the same vein of War Diary Crusader, set on the battlegrounds of Burma in WWII, pitting you against the Japanese. Troops management as well as the battle system are kept simple. This can make it all a bit uninvolving, but there is a good bit of content to discover. Additional game play modes would have been nice.

Gameplay: 77%

In War Diary Burma you command the allied forces in World War II, on a mission to drive the Japanese out of war torn Burma. Your army is represented by one icon, which helps to keep the game easily overviewable, which you move over the map in search of the enemy. The game play is more mission based in comparison to War Diary Crusader, which adds some variety and the battle system introduces some timed button pressing to the proceedings. The game can get a bit too simple for its own good, however.

Graphics: 79%

The graphics in War Diary Burma are tiny, but well detailed, and it's always easy to make out icons that are important to the progress of the game.

Sound: 77%

No sound effects, but some nice, atmospheric military-style music.

Difficulty: 80%

While not overly difficult, War Diary Burma and its increasingly tricky missions does manage to make you stay on your toes.

Replay value: 79%

While the game is not particularly involving due to its simplicity, it does still make for enough possibilities to try a different strategy on the second go round.
